City receives Historic Preservation Grant:

The City has been awarded a Historic Preservation Grant from the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office - Department of Natural Resources to nominate 3 historic residential districts and 1 single property nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.  The click here for a map that shows the preliminary boundaries for these nominations (this a large file and may take a few moments to load).  These areas are being proposed for their age, architectural character, and highlight a development change in the layout of Lee's Summit.  Notably District C is a grouping of Post W.W.II ranch style homes and will be one of the first such districts in the State of Missouri.
